Testimonials
His attention to detail, his vast knowledge in his domain, his professional connections, his integrity— all these qualities of his are second to none.
I am pleased to announce that I closed on the sale of my practice for over the appraised value and asking price thanks to VPG; and that I am writing this testimonial from the comfort of my home on a Wednesday morning (imagine that!)
Over the years, I have used the services of numerous business professionals with various types of expertise— attorneys, accountants, consultants, financial planners. None of them could hold a candle to Erik Ferjentsik of Visionary Practice Group. His attention to detail, his vast knowledge in his domain, his professional connections, his integrity— all these qualities of his are second to none. Many, many thanks Erik.

Can I give you more than 5 stars?
I am so happy I found Erik and VPG. What a difference it made. For the last 3 years, I have strategized, fretted and worried about how to transition my practice. Numerous colleagues and young ODs reached out to “help”.
None of them had an interest in owning a practice and selling/working for private equity held no appeal. Last year, in frustration, I started calling various brokerage firms to see if that approach made sense for me. I knew immediately after talking to Erik that VPG was the one I wanted to hire. Erik reassured me that it was very possible to find an optometrist to buy my practice.
From start to finish, it took less than 6 months. I had an accepted offer, for above asking price, four days after the practice was listed! From appraisal to SOLD, the process was spelled out precisely. Erik was easily reached for any questions I might have. He was thoughtful and timely in his response. He lined me up with a topnotch attorney to handle the legal aspects. I cannot imagine doing this without VPG.
Now here I am writing this review, retired and happy that my practice is in good hands. What more could I ask for? Can I give you more than 5 stars?

Hiring Erik Ferjentsik of Visionary Practice Group (VPG) was the best decision I made!
Hiring Erik Ferjentsik of Visionary Practice Group (VPG) was the best decision I made in selling my practice. He has vast experience, is an excellent communicator and is very detail-oriented.
At first, he explained the process and typical timing of all the necessary steps to reach completion. Next, VPG’s appraisal of the practice was extensive and focused on detail. Producing an extremely thorough and comprehensive practice appraisal is extremely valuable to achieve a valuation that is
justifiable.
After a number of site visits by prospective buyers, I received several offers exceeding the asking price. Erik provided an honest and realistic evaluation of each and I accepted an offer
within two months of the practice being listed. Erik meticulously structured the practice agreement to minimize my tax burden.
Erik has a comprehensive network of resources making the entire process as smooth as possible. He helped the buyer obtain financing as well as referring myself and the buyer to attorneys experienced in the sale of optometric practices.
Anyone considering the sale of their practice should retain Erik Ferjentsik of Visionary Practice Group (VPG). I am now retired and happily beginning the next chapter of my life. Thank you Erik!

I was shocked when Erik presented multiple offers above asking price
Before working with Erik, I initially reached out to another brokerage firm to request a practice appraisal. It took me a month to receive a response from them and after providing them the practice information they requested, it took another 2 months for them to get back to me to schedule a phone call. The appraisal hadn’t even been started! I was extremely frustrated and was grateful to have a colleague recommend Visionary Practice Group. After submitting my information on the inquiry form on their website, I was amazed to receive a phone call from Erik that same day.
Erik was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process of my practice sale. He is extremely professional and always responsive to my emails and inquiries. I have worked with many individuals throughout the years and Erik has been one of the most reliable and organized people I’ve worked with. Both my practice consultant and Erik estimated that it would take approximately a year to find the right buyer for my specialty practice. I was shocked when Erik presented multiple offers above asking price within a week of the practice being listed! The sale of the practice was completed in approximately 3 months & occurred much more quickly than I anticipated but I’m so grateful that it did. Erik helped make the transition as smooth as possible and gave great guidance along the way.
I have already recommended Erik to several of my colleagues. I am so glad I chose to work with Visionary Practice Group and have nothing but praise for Erik! He is truly top notch!

We had site visits and multiple full price offers within a few weeks!
After doing some research, I decided to call Erik at Visionary Practice Works. After talking with him, I knew that I had called the right person. After sending him some information, I quickly received an appraisal. I was impressed by how detailed and comprehensive it was. After deciding to sell the practice, Erik marketed it in a targeted way and we had site visits and multiple full price offers within a few weeks. He helped the buyers get 100% financing based only on his practice appraisal. My practice sold within 5 months and I am grateful for the work that Erik personally put into the whole process. I am so glad that I didn’t try to sell my practice on my own. There were so many unexpected things that Erik handled for both sides. He only works with Optometry and is personally involved in every step of the process. He is very professional, quick to reply, and goes above and beyond to make the transition smooth and complete. He is a genuinely good person and I consider him a friend and appreciate what he has done to make this happen.

I would be privileged to speak to any potential client interested in working with you
As we crossed the finish line on the sale of the practice, I wanted to extend my appreciation. Your expertise, professionalism, and communication skills instilled such confidence that I never felt confused or “disconnected” from what is a very complicated process. It certainly was much different from our experience [prior to hiring you] as I know you were continuing to work behind the scenes to keep the train on the tracks. For that I offer many thanks. I very much appreciate your recommendation of Paul to handle the legal. He was just great to work with. In any case, please know that I would be very happy to be listed on your recommendations list and I would be privileged to speak to any potential client interested in my experience working with you. I look forward to the banner on our listing on the Visionary Practice Group website to switch to “SOLD.”

Within one month Erik brought me three full price offers for the practice and real estate!
About 5 years ago I had requested an appraisal of my practice from a well known brokerage group. I was very unimpressed in the appraisal which was superficial at best. Fortunately for me I decided to wait a few years to market my practice. In May of 2020 I came across the VPG website and decided to give them a call. Erik Ferjentsik answered my initial questions and offered a time that we could talk without interruption. I was immediately impressed with his knowledge of the business of Optometry. I requested an appraisal which was very thorough and listed my practice in August of 2020. Within one month Erik brought me three full price offers for the practice and real estate!
Erik then helped me decide on the best offer and led me and the buyer through the sale process. The sale was final in December of 2020!
I am so glad that I was not naive enough to try to sell my practice by myself. The process is complicated. If you are planning to sell your practice you owe it to yourself to contact Erik at VPG. He is the best.
– Patrick Kiella O.D.
If I were to sell another practice, the first thing I would do would be to call Erik and have him work his magic for me again
I initially planned to have Erik just do an appraisal of my practice and try to sell it on my own, but after one conversation with him my mind was completely changed. Instead, Erik handled everything from organizing my financials to screening prospective buyers to negotiating the purchase price. He guided the entire process masterfully, found the right buyer after just a few weeks, and gave me peace of mind in knowing I wasn’t forgetting something or doing things wrong. Erik let me concentrate on my practice while he took care of all the details, right down to the minor hiccups on the day of the closing. If I were to sell another practice, the first thing I would do would be to call Erik and have him work his magic for me again. I highly highly recommend Erik and VPG!

After trying to coordinate a partnership/sale of my office without success, I contacted Visionary Practice Group.
Without question, I would highly recommend Erik and Visionary Practice Group! After trying to coordinate a partnership/sale of my office without success, I contacted Visionary Practice Group. Erik was instrumental in navigating through all the details to determine the value of my office. Not only was he able to demonstrate that my office was worth significantly more than I had previously been offered, Erik helped to field numerous offers all at or above the updated asking price. While we experienced numerous unforeseen setbacks caused by the COVID shutdowns, Erik remained diligent in seeing us to the finish line. With Erik’s extensive business and marketing skills, we ultimately ended up with over double the asking price! Selling a practice involves a lot of emotion but Erik was always professional, kind, patient and encouraging and I never doubted that I was in capable hands. Throughout the process, I was so impressed with the extent of Erik’s understanding of the business of optometry and how well he was able to combine that with his extensive experience in evaluating and selling a practice. Thank you, Erik!
– Lee Hoven O.D.
I would definitely recommend Erik and Visionary Practice Group to my colleagues.
Erik is the BEST, in one word. He knows exactly was he is doing, very knowledgeable in this field. My journey was fairly short and rapid, started as a New Year’s resolution to test the waters, so hired Erik for an appraisal in January 2020. Liked his thoroughness and professionalism, thus in late February engaged him immediately to be the broker of my practice’s sale. He estimated it would take about 9 months, but he was wrong…we closed on August 3, after barely 5 months! He guided us so positively and carefully, his appraisal was on the spot, and everything went fairly smooth despite the pandemic. I would definitely recommend Erik and Visionary Practice Group to my colleagues.
– Jorge Won O.D.
Erik was very willing to help me toward the outcome I wanted for my practice, patients and current employees.
It is with pleasure that I offer a hearty endorsement of Visionary Practice Group and Erik Ferjentisk for the help he provided evaluating and selling my optometric practice. I built a large three location multimillion-dollar practice starting in my home town and expanding around our state. When it came time to sell and partially retire it was very important to me to try and continue the family-friendly local ownership concept I had worked so hard to create. I was stunned when the consultant/broker whom I had a long term relationship with refused to consider what I wanted and proceeded to tell me what was going to transpire. Selling to a corporate entity was the only approach he would consider. My desired approach was refused.
After much research and similar attitudes from other brokers, I found Erik. Erik was very willing to help me toward the outcome I wanted for my practice, patients and current employees. Erik did a great job evaluating my practice and negotiating with my current doctors to our mutually satisfactory outcome. Erik was extremely valuable as the “middle man” in between myself and my presently employed doctors helping to maintain our positive relationship and obtaining a deal we all are happy with.
Erik’s knowledge of the optometry business, his extensive experience and his connections in the industry helped us reach a financially and emotionally satisfying outcome. I could not be happier with my experience and results.
– Rick Smart O.D.
In the first week after Erik listed my practice on his website there were over a dozen inquires.
After a life long career in Optometry, I decided it was time to transition my life’s direction and move on from routine patient care to pursue other ambitions. I decided to get an appraisal of my private practice with the intent to sell the assets and good will. I interviewed a few of the practice brokers for their prospective on how they would negotiate for what is in my best interest. The other guys wanted to hustle my business to the highest bidder. That meant selling to private equity or venture capital companies. Which would make those brokers the highest commission but could make the end of my career miserable and ruin my patient’s trust. Not one of them asked me the most important question, “Doctor, what do you want for the future of your practice?” Mr. Erik Ferjentsik asked me that question. More importantly he listened to my answer. That is why I hired him. My goal was to find the best doctor to take care of my patients and deliver, “Excellent Exams by Doctors Who Care.”
He asked a lot of questions about my business and I gave him the financials to support his appraisal. It was an impressive fifty-page appraisal with market analyses. The valuation of my business was what I expected. In the first week after Erik listed my practice on his website there were over a dozen inquires. I had the opportunity to show my private practice and meet the interested doctors. They interviewed me and I got to know them. The offers came in. Several above the appraised value. A personal friend, that I’ve know since graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry, let me know he was interested in buying my practice. I introduced him to Erik to do the negotiations so as not let personalities collide. I was more than impressed with Erik as a professional. He understood how to navigate the deal in my best interest while making the buyer feel they got a bargain. In the end, I agreed to accept my friend’s offer which was above appraised value! Most importantly, my patient care is going to an individual doctor who will care for them as I always have!
With gratitude and respect, I recommend Mr. Erik Ferjentsik and VPG for your practice transition.
– John Bardash, O.D.
Erik and VPG do not take on many clients at a time so that they can provide ample time to get everything done right.
I initially contacted VPG as I was interviewing companies to help me sell my practice. Of the three exploratory calls I made, Erik was the only person that spent roughly one hour explaining how he viewed the process of selling a practice. Beyond that, it was clear that he was very interested in the details of the sale and he hesitated speculating about the speed of sale or even the practice value without looking critically at the numbers. Basically, he wanted to make sure that he knew what he was talking about before he explained what I could reasonably expect; it was exactly what I was looking for. Erik and VPG do not take on many clients at a time so that they can provide ample time to get everything done right.
From that time, Erik’s behavior was exactly as he was with the first call — professional, analytical, thorough and very pleasant. How he constructed the sales agreement and how he meticulously prepared the practice valuation saved me a lot in taxes alone. He was continually bringing up topics that I had not considered and clarified how large of a project selling a practice really is.
Something I learned late in this process is that the window to sell a practice is exceptionally small and getting things right the first time is critical. For each practice location, there may only be a few viable buyers looking to purchase your practice when you are ready to sell. If your valuation is too high, those buyers may decide to look elsewhere or purchase a different practice. But getting the value correct and preparing everything the buyer might need want before it hits the market offers the best chance of nabbing on of those potential buyers before it’s too late. Also, Erik had a list of clients that were interested in looking at my practice even before it went on the market. My practice sold in just a few months and that was very quick — it may have taken longer in a different location, but Erik’s process gave me the best chance at getting this wrapped up as quickly as we could and that was also worth a lot to me.
If I am ever in need of Erik’s services, I would not hesitate to call him again. If you are looking for someone that is more interested in helping you out and making sure everything is exactly right, then VPG is where you need to start — it’s too bad Erik is not also an accountant.
– Jay Chretien, OD
Erik is phenomenal! He helped me sell 3 private practices all together very quickly.
Erik is phenomenal! He helped me sell 3 private practices all together very quickly. He is an excellent communicator and very detail-oriented. If I have any questions, he makes himself available before, during, and after the closing date. I am very happy with his service and the outcome of this sale. If you want good results, let Erik handle your transactions for you!
– Thanh Tran O.D.
If you want a company that can not just sell you promises but actually deliver and make the transition happen…use Visionary Practice Group.
For someone that has been both routes I can tell you that Erik Ferjentsik of Visionary Practice Group (VPG) knows his business well. He was calm and collected through the whole process and made me over $200,000 above my original asking price. So what’s the story?
I had a well managed medically focused practice grossing over $1.6M and originally decided against using anyone for a broker (now I know why this is not recommended). I was able to attract a young buyer who contracted VPG to assess my practice. Thanks to inexperience, this buyer quickly grew frustrated with the extensive due diligence process and backed out before the appraisal was finished. At that point I realized I needed help and saw how focused on detail and exhaustive VPG’s appraisal process was. Based on how thorough VPG was, I chose to list with them rather than the big box guys. Turns out my accountant-based valuation was low by $200,000 according to VPG. Then I was told by VPG that 98% of the time, due to their extensive valuation process and low-volume hands-on approach, the practices they list for sale sell for at or very near the asking/appraised value. It seemed too good to be true, but I went ahead with listing with VPG. Sure enough, Erik found many prospects and paired me with not one, but two buyers he recommended after thoroughly vetting them. Both offered to pay full appraised value and of course one did!
Finding a buyer is only part of the reason to hire a pro though. The next parts were even harder. That is…making the deal happen. There’s a lot of “stuff” that has to go on to transition a practice. Erik’s experience was invaluable. Things like what attorney to draw up the deal and negotiate the terms, which escrow is going to be on top of it, the transition, and what happens post sale. All of these can trip up a sale and Erik was there all the way. I asked him at the end of closing how much time he spent specifically on my listing… “400+ hours” was his response. I would never have gotten that from …the other guys.
I don’t believe that the best eye care is delivered in big box practices and I definitely don’t feel individual practices get the representation they need from big box brokerage firms. If you want a company that can not just sell you promises but actually deliver and make the transition happen…use Visionary Practice Group.
– Greg Evans, OD
After interviewing four different organizations, it became obvious from the get go that the only logical choice was Visionary Practice Group.
When the time comes to consider transitioning your practice, the thought of the process can be daunting. Most times we doctors are the “captain of the procrastination ship” and have probably kicked the can down the road several times in our minds as to when to begin the process. The first, and likely the most critical decision, is who can I turn to to help get this process going.
After interviewing four different organizations, it became obvious from the get go that the only logical choice was Visionary Practice Group. I spoke with Erik Ferjentsik for almost an hour on the phone in the opening interview to discuss the different options to get an idea if my practice was marketable. He was realistic and honest in his assessment and we decided to move forward with the process. Erik spent a lot of time producing an extremely thorough and comprehensive practice appraisal that would prove to be very valuable in helping move the process along smoothly. Erik was attentive and responsive to all our questions and concerns throughout all activities leading up to the sale of the practice. Erik has an extraordinary network of resources to make the entire process as seamless as possible.
As you read other testimonials concerning Erik and Visionary Practice Group, you will see a consistent pattern emerging. That pattern is one of integrity, honesty, and under promising but over delivering in his results. It is without any hesitation that I give Erik an A+ rating and highly recommend his services to anyone seeking an opportunity to transition their practice.
– Mike White, OD
He advised me, counseled me, calmed me, advocated for me, and always had my best interest at heart.
Erik at VPG has made my dreams come true. When I was ready to sell my practice, and after doing quite a bit of research on brokers and agents, I chose Visionary Practice Group. And I am SO Glad that I did. Selling a practice is definitely not for amateurs. A seasoned, skilled professional is mandatory in the very competitive field of practice sales and acquisitions. Erik was there for me at every turn. And I am sure I was not the easiest client to work with. But Erik’s patience and calming manner made the process smooth, and ultimately, a success. On the day that he informed me that we had an offer, which of course was amazing news, he also cautioned me that that was the first of many subsequent steps. And he did an amazing job of guiding me through the process. He advised me, counseled me, calmed me, advocated for me, and always had my best interest at heart. And on the day of closing, and the wire transfer hit my bank account, the relief and happiness I felt was unreal, truly ecstatic. Erik, THANK YOU again for all that you have done for me. You have recharged my energy in practicing optometry, taken a huge weight off of my shoulders, and brought me a deep sense of relief and happiness. THREE CHEERS FOR ERIK AND VISIONARY PRACTICE GROUP!!!
– Russell Fillmore, OD
Erik Ferjentsik and VPG literally saved me.
Erik Ferjentsik and VPG literally saved me. VPG was not the first broker that I dealt with. The first broker I hired totally screwed up. I live in a very small state and everyone pretty much knows everyone else in the optometric community. After giving that broker explicit instructions to NOT market my practice in my immediate area so as to preserve confidentiality, he nevertheless sent letters that named my city as the location. I was devastated to think that all of the time I’d spent was totally wasted not to mention that he had told me that it would probably take a few years to sell it due to the location.
Along came Erik to the rescue and fortunately for me he agreed to take me on. After a lengthy and thorough discussion with lots of questions from Erik he arrived at a valuation for my practice. It was higher than the first broker’s valuation! I was happy with that but I prepared for a long wait for a potential buyer. Unbelievably, after only two days being on the market, Erik told me that he had a buyer who wanted a site visit! Shortly after that Erik also found another potential buyer who traveled a long distance just to see my practice. I was ecstatic; two potential buyers in the first week that my practice was on the market.
I recently closed on my practice sale and VPG also sold the real estate along with the practice where it had existed for 38 years. I can’t say enough good things about Erik and VPG. I recently went to a CE meeting and told my story to several old classmates. They couldn’t believe how easy it was to sell my practice. They had horror stories about colleagues who were unable to find a buyer and just closed their doors. I enthusiastically gave several people Erik’s contact information at the meeting; I just hope that he won’t be too busy to take them on as clients when they decide to sell.
– Scott Webb O.D.
Erik was able to not only find an amazing young OD in search of practice for sale but to go the extra miles necessary to help this young man obtain financing.
My optometric practice was established in 1970 and was grossing close to a million dollars a year, up until a year ago. Erik Ferjentsik, with Visionary Practice Group, helped me through an optometrist’s worst nightmare; selling my practice due to the death of my partner and friend of thirty-one years. Following my partner’s death, the sales and value of the practice dropped. Despite the challenges, Erik was able to not only find an amazing young OD in search of practice for sale but to go the extra miles necessary to help this young man obtain financing. Thanks to Erik’s expertise, persistence, and professionalism, I am now able to retire, knowing that my well-established practice of thirty-seven years, is now in the very capable hands of a happy new owner.
Thank you, Erik….I cannot imagine doing this without your help.
– W. Williams, OD
I fully endorse Erik and his firm.
It has been a year since I purchased my practice. Erik Ferjentsik was representing the seller at the time. Throughout the entire process, Erik was honest, open, forthcoming, and readily available to me to answer any questions I had. While still advocating for his client, he was able to help us craft a “win-win” agreement. One memory I have is Erik telling me that this would be one of the best decisions I make. Of course, I dismissed it as a sales tactic but one year later and he was right.
I fully endorse Erik and his firm. Should I or a colleague ever require the services of a broker or practice management adviser, I would not hesitate to reach out to or recommend him.
– Ted Vitelli, OD
He was available whenever we needed him, and every step of the way he was responsive, kind, honest and professional.
My wife and I can’t thank Erik enough for making the sale of our practice a reality. He was available whenever we needed him, and every step of the way he was responsive, kind, honest and professional. Whenever issues arose, from our end or a potential buyers end, Erik knew how to overcome them. We are aware that many of our colleagues have not had the same success working with other organizations, and we are convinced that our success is due to Erik’s unceasing efforts. We truly believe this sale would not have been possible without him, and feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him.
– Mark Snyder, O.D.
He was a pleasure to work with, and I can honestly say I would not be a practice owner without Erik and VPG’s help.
I was in the market for a practice to buy for well over a year. Before working with Erik and VPG, I contacted several other practice brokers throughout the country, as well as trying to contact selling doctors directly. Some brokers didn’t even bother to return my call. Others had no interest in me specifically, or my own goals with buying a practice. I also found the sellers were in uncertain waters as was I, this being the first and last time they sell a practice and the first time I was buying one. Erik not only has a wealth of business knowledge and specific experience with optometric practice transitions, but both the seller and I felt he truly cared that we both walked away happy, with a completed, fair, successful transaction.
Not only did he provide a detailed, professional, hands on roadmap to guide the seller and I through the process, he was also there to usher us every step of the way, from the site visit, right up until close. He was a pleasure to work with, and I can honestly say I would not be a practice owner without Erik and VPG’s help. I cannot thank him enough.
– Ryan D., O.D.
I truly believe in Visionary Practice Group mission and work ethic, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
I sought out professional advice and guidance from Visionary Practice Group in December of 2014. I was purchasing my first practice and had absolutely no idea on how or where to start. After the first day of working with Erik and VPG, I quickly realized what professionals they were and that I was in the right hands. Their expertise, experience, and ability to talk me off ledges, is the only reason I was successful in the practice purchase and transition. I truly believe in Visionary Practice Group mission and work ethic, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
– Dr. David Eaton, O.D.
If I could grab you by the lapel, I would plead with you to have Erik and VPG handle your practice transition.
If I could grab you by the lapel, I would plead with you to have Erik and VPG handle your practice transition. It is such a joy to have the transition completed with confidence in the pricing and the process. Give yourself the best chance. Thank you Erik and VPG.
– James Andrews, O.D.
Even after just a few days, I can already tell that this was the right decision for me personally and professionally.
Just wanted to personally thank you for everything you’ve done for us to make the sale of Vizio a success. I know that the process wasn’t always easy but without your patience and hard work, none of it would have happened. I do believe the OD buyers you found are a great fit for Vizio and will take it to the next level while embracing the same customer-friendly philosophy that earned us the 7 Time Best of Boston. Even after just a few days, I can already tell that this was the right decision for me personally and professionally. Thank you!
– Galina Rabkin, O.D. Vizio Optic
Erik guided me through each step of the selling process and kept the buyer and myself adequately informed.
After having attempted to sell my practice on my own, I turned to Erik Ferjentsik of Visionary Practice Group. It was obvious after our first discussion that he and his brokerage firm would be able to bring an enhanced level of exposure through its far-reaching network and connections within the optometric profession. Erik did an excellent job of evaluating my single doctor practice, recognizing its many strengths, and marketing it to a large pool of potential buyers. As a result, we had immediate interest from serious buyers from the very start.
Erik guided me through each step of the selling process and kept the buyer and myself adequately informed. I was able to effectively respond to the buyer’s concerns through Erik, something I was not able to do while attempting to sell my practice on my own. In the end, Erik secured not only a qualified buyer but an optometrist who was a perfect fit for my practice and, most importantly, for my patients.
– Mark R. Chasse, O.D.
Without you and VPG, I would have been totally lost.
Erik, I really appreciate all your help and guidance through the sale of my practice. There were so many twists and turns during the process that I had never imagined. Without you and VPG, I would have been totally lost. You stayed calm and focused through the whole process. Your professionalism was so appreciated. Thank you so much. I could not have done it without you.
– Kathleen Clary, O.D.
This to me was nothing short of a miracle, considering potential buyers were leery of a practice that had been listed for such a long period of time previously.
Thank you for the wonderful job selling our practice. We had it listed for over three years with another broker with little to no action as far as showing it or advertising it. You, on the other hand, had numerous showings immediately, which led to its sale in under a year. This to me was nothing short of a miracle, considering potential buyers were leery of a practice that had been listed for such a long period of time previously. You pursued these buyers for us alleviating all their fears. You are truly a professional and an expert in your field and I would highly recommend Visionary Practice Group to anyone who has a practice to sell, for I know they will be 100% happy with the outcome as we are. Once again our deepest appreciation.
– Pam and John Way, O.D. Private Eye Vision Center
VPG folks, you guys are amazing!
VPG folks, you guys are amazing! It has been a real pleasure working with you. My practice is in the best hands and I will always be indebted to you for bringing such qualified buyers to the table. You could not have found a more perfect match for the practice.
– Julio Arroyo O.D.
Further, he found pie pieces I didn’t know were there. We got our just dessert.
Erik did an outstanding job of dotting his eyes and crossing his tees in the sale of my practice. It had been previously for sale with another broker, but this time it happened. Erik was unusually diligent in ensuring that each piece of the pie was sold. Further, he found pie pieces I didn’t know were there. We got our just dessert.
– Mark Wolmer, O.D.
Erik is extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, caring and passionate.
It was such a great pleasure working with Erik Ferjentsik at Visionary Practice Group. I do not have enough words to convey how grateful I am to Erik and his team. I have always dreamt of owning a practice. I had been looking for several years and never finding the right one. When I first spoke to Erik on the phone, I was so impressed by how engaged and attentive he was to what I was looking for in a practice. Erik is extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, caring and passionate. From start to finish, Erik kept in constant communication with both me and the seller and responded promptly to my questions throughout the whole process. He represents the best interest of both the seller and the buyer. His expertise and service surpassed my expectations! I would highly recommend Erik to my colleagues. He is amazing, and I look forward to working with him in the future. Thank you, Erik, for all your support!
– Dr. Natacha Louis-Charles O.D.
I strongly recommend VPG for transition services.
I strongly recommend VPG for transition services. They were extremely easy to work with. They were easily reachable and immediately responded to all my needs. They were relentless in trying to adjust their search for a buyer of my practice to coincide with my transition goals.
– Dr. Robert Miller
I trust their knowledge of practice transitions, experience, and integrity.
When I purchased my practice, VPG group was right on the money regarding location and practice potential. I trust their knowledge of practice transitions, experience, and integrity.
– Dr. James Herbert
They handled the merger of the two offices.
I have used Visionary Practice Group many times. They represented me when I brought my first practice. They found a second practice for me. They handled the merger of the two offices. I called on them when I moved my office to a new location. They assisted me with the negotiations for the new space, design of the layout for the new space, contractors’ bids and contracts, budgets, projections, secured favorable financing terms. They handled everything. It’s like one stop shopping. I recommend them highly.

Our deal was a win-win for the buyer and me.
It was a pleasure working with your group. You bent over backwards to make a deal happen. You worked with me for 4 years and didn’t give up on me, especially during difficult economic times. Our deal was a win-win for the buyer and me.

His credibility makes the initial offer a very reasonable place to start discussions.
I hired Visionary Practice Group for assessing the value of an optometric practice that I had an interest in purchasing. Erik Ferjentsik was my assigned consultant who provided expertise in all aspects of the business and helped to objectively and analytically assign an appropriate value to the desired practice. He can expertly analyze practice financial documents and tax return information to offer a great picture of the “health” of the business. He was able to give us his honest impression on the viability of the practice to grow and succeed under new management. As a prospective buyer with no experience in profit and loss statements, employee payroll, and cost of goods sold, Erik’s advice was invaluable. His approach to valuation and initial negotiation with me and the seller was fair and simple: present a fact-based dollar value of the practice to both sides. Erik has the business knowledge and experience in practice valuation to articulate the methods used to arrive at said number. His credibility makes the initial offer a very reasonable place to start discussions. He also served as a competent mediator between the buyer and seller throughout the negotiation process. Erik is very knowledgeable on the process of buying a practice – from start to finish.
I would highly recommend Erik and Visionary Practice Group to others interested in buying or selling a practice. Working with Erik was very efficient. His response to any question or concern was answered rapidly. His approach to the process is fair and honest. I believe he wants both sides to be winners.

I can honestly say that all this would not have been possible without your help.
Thank you so much for all that you did (with respect to the sale of my practice). I can honestly say that all this would not have been possible without your help. I would also be remiss if I did not comment that your attentiveness and efforts not only met but far exceeded my expectations. Again, thanks, and feel free to use me as a reference with any future doctors that you deal with.

I highly recommend his services to anyone even considering making the leap into practice ownership.
I never thought practice ownership was in the cards for me. I did not know a thing about how to even approach the idea, let alone what it would entail once I was there. What I did know is that I was in a situation where I was working hard to make other people a lot of money. Erik helped me from step one gain the confidence and knowledge to take the intimidating step into practice ownership. Coming out of school with so much debt and taking on the purchase of a successful practice seems daunting and not feasible, but with Erik educating me on financing options, the practice appraisal processes, cash flows, benefits of practice ownership and so much more, it made the process exciting and attainable. Having someone care so much and have so much faith in you really was the icing on the cake. Now in practice ownership, I am financially and professionally happier than I have ever been and I cannot imagine my career taking any other path. With Erik and VPG’s support, I found the confidence to manage staff, practice optometry the way I want to, and be paid much more for doing it. I understand how this process can seem challenging for anyone, but trust me, with Erik by your side, your dreams can become reality. I am forever grateful to Erik at VPG for making me realize my professional potential and I could not imagine navigating through the purchase and sale process without him. I highly recommend his services to anyone even considering making the leap into practice ownership. He ensured that what could be a rocky, confusing transition, was all smooth sailing. I am forever grateful.
